Hey guys, This is my second vector piece in illustrator. The background and the tint effect was done in photoshop but thats about it. I was well chuffed with it. I had trouble with the lips to be honest and would really appreciate it if you could critisize it.

The beard took me longest. i did each strand individually. was worth it i think.

Great job on the beard. Doing each strand individually really paid off and gave it a realistic look.

Thanks alot mike! Yeah it took me about 5 or six hours or so. I remember watching scanner darkley a while ago and trying to copy the effect in photoshop but never could get it. It worked so well in illustrator. Thanks again.

The beard and the hair really adds a lot of details to this. And I'll agree with you. Totally worth it, cos it looks sweet.
And lips are always difficult. Especially when you're doing the realistic style. I'm more cartoony, so it's easier. But to me it seems that the lips are a bit too grey. it's almost like the character has put a layer of clear lip moisturiser on his lips... if you know what I mean.
Other than that this is sweet, and definitely worthy of a fav. :D

thanks for the criticism my friend..Thanks for the favourite too. I really appreciate it. Ur right the lips are abit too grey. They need abit more purple/red i think. Im not too sure..maybe il try messing round with it in a few weeks and put up the new one. Thanks again
